On Saturday, May 18, 2019, BASF opened its doors at the Ludwigshafen site to give young people an insight into working life and training opportunities at BASF. At Gate 11, where the training department provided information at several stands, numerous visitors explored the practical presentation of over 30 different training occupations and dual degree programs.
Pupils and parents were offered the opportunity to find out about the various training opportunities at BASF SE at numerous stands. Both the trainers and several trainees were available for this purpose. Among other things, presentations were given on the changing professional world in IT and how BASF SE is shaping its training in line with the digital transformation. Young people with specific career aspirations had the opportunity to have their applications checked directly on site.

Interested young people and their parents took the opportunity to find out more from the students and talk to those responsible for the degree programs.
Prof. Dr. Gerhard Raab and Kathrin Paul presented the dual degree programs "International Business Administration (IBA)" (B.Sc.) and "International Business Administration and Information Technology (IBAIT)" (B.Sc.) alongside some students.
The practice-oriented and internationally oriented degree programs IBA and IBAIT offer an excellent entry into many professions thanks to the combination of six semesters, practical phases in a partner company from the business world and a stay abroad. BASF SE and the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society have been working together as cooperation partners for almost 25 years.
