Minister President Malu Dreyer, Minister of Labor Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler and State Secretary of the Interior Randolf Stich discussed with more than 160 participants from all over Rhineland-Palatinate on March 3, 2020 at the 17th Youth and Trainee Representative Forum at Mainz Stadtwerke.
On March 3, 2020, the 17th Youth and Trainee Representative Forum (JAV Forum) took place at Mainzer Stadtwerke. At the invitation of Minister President Malu Dreyer, we, Johanna Weber and Elena König, were there for the first time this year as youth and trainee representatives of HWG LU.
At the beginning of the event, Minister President Dreyer and State Secretary of the Interior Randolf Stich agreed to take photos with some of the youth and trainee representatives.
The event was held under the motto "Strengthening democracy" in line with the #MiteinanderGutLeben and #RLPGegenHassundHetze campaigns.
TV presenter Markus Appelmann hosted the evening program. After Malu Dreyer's welcoming address, Japhet Dufitumuzika, an employee of the Mainz public utility company, spoke about successful integration and its challenges.
This was followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session with State Secretary of the Interior Randolf Stich, Minister of Labor Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler, Jennifer Otto as representative of the young group (GdP RLP) and Sven Kreuzer as representative of ver.di Jugend RLP. The JAVs dealt with various topics, including the current problems in the care sector, and we also discussed the critical conditions for taking on our trainees after their training.
The final get-together with snacks and drinks was all about networking and exchanging ideas between the JAVs.
