Ludwigshafen will again participate in the STADTRADELN(stadtradeln.de) campaign in September 2020. The campaign is coordinated by the Climate Alliance, the largest municipal network for the protection of the world's climate. We as a university are also taking part and will again be busy collecting kilometers with a team.
In 2019, the university team collected 5,596 kilometers with 24 cyclists and finished in 9th place in the comparison of municipalities. The most active cyclist on our team was Prof. Freyburger. A total of 87 teams with 1,094 active cyclists registered for Ludwigshafen and cycled a total of 214,584 km. Thus, about 30 tons of CO2 were avoided.
STADTRADELN is designed as a competition. The competition looks for the most cycling-active communities as well as the most diligent teams and cyclists in Ludwigshafen itself.
Within three weeks, from September 7 to 27, the participants will collect as many bicycle kilometers as possible - for work and private use - which they will enter manually or via an app.
Anyone whose place of work, study or residence is in Ludwigshafen can take part. The kilometers do not have to be cycled in Ludwigshafen.
The results of the municipalities and teams are published on the STADTRADELN website, so that both nationwide comparisons between the municipalities and team comparisons within Ludwigshafen are possible. Achievements of individual participants, with the exception of STADTRADELN stars, will not be publicly displayed.
We would be pleased if a large team participates in the campaign for Hochschule. To register for the University of Business and Society team, follow this link:

Those who have already cycled in another community will need to re-register.
